There were plenty of implications in this episode alone between Carly slapping him when no one was looking, the fact that she’s apparently ranked their kisses, asking him if this fake relationship was stirring up old feelings, saying he’s the best and how grateful she was that he played along for her, not to mention his cute little smile when she said that. I’m all for the slow-burn and role-reversal of Carly realizing she has feelings for Freddie. That said, in hindsight I’ve realized how toxic Seddie is, and based on the revival I am rooting for Creddie. I’d definitely like to see her and Freddie in more storylines together to explore that dynamic more as well.Īs for the ever-discussed Creddie, I’ll confess that during the original series I did ship Seddie (though more-so based on fanfiction than the show itself). Mostly though I'm looking forward to seeing more of Harper's career pursuits and doing wacky stuff with Spencer and Carly. Maybe there's potential for it again down the line, guess we'll see. Can’t say I’m all that upset about Dutch and Harper breaking up (or, at the very least, taking a break) since we didn't even get to see them as a couple. I also enjoyed the whole B story with Harper and Double Dutch’s dog, Kevin. I look forward to seeing more of her shenanigans throughout the rest of the season. I particularly loved her line in the last scene when she asked Spencer to film her reaction to Carly’s reaction to the latest Beau and Wes episode. I enjoyed Millicent’s one-liners and that she still not-so-low-key has it out for Carly. I really like how Harper and Millicent’s roles have grown as well. I loved how in this premiere we got to see him try to salvage his inadvertent funeral party, ask two women if he can have either of their phone numbers after ripping off the table cloth, take over playing the organ, pop out of that bone pile and shout in excitement that he saved the party-all comedic gold. Personally one of my main criticisms of season 1 was that Spencer’s character didn’t quite feel as goofy as he was in the original series. This episode made me laugh out loud multiple times, more than any episode in season 1 (which I also really enjoyed and felt that it got better and better with each episode).įirst off, I appreciate that Spencer exclaimed a lot of his dialogue. Benson is stealing every scene she is in (in both this episode and No.2)
